Article from SEO Company
There are a number of ways you can get create back links: you can submit articles to article directories (such as ezinearticles), add your site's URL to web directories, pay per click and of course social sites like myspace and facebook. These are all good ways but I've come across a better way.
The quickest, easiest way to create dozens, if not hundreds of back links to your site is to comment on blogs.
Now you can't post to just any blog. First, you have to find a blog that is related to your site. When search engines see a link to your site from a site with quality, related content, they will give you extra points (or stars or smiley faces... whatever).
Once you find blogs with related content you need to narrow down which ones allow "do-follow" links. Many blogs only let people post "no-follow" links. Basically, a no-follow link means people who read that blog can click the link and go to your site BUT the search engines will not give you extra points for having that back link.
The tool I use to promote all of my sites (and other blogs) is Fast Blog Finder. It's free, really easy to use and does all the hard work for you.
It will do a thorough search on a keyword you want to find blogs about. It will give you thousands of results showing the blogs' page rank, domain rank and whether or not they allow "do-follow" links.
