I’ve recently been researching what the top online stores are doing so that I can apply it to help my e-commerce clients get more sales. I came across a very insightful and interesting article on SmashingMagazine by Christian Holst titled “The State Of E-Commerce Checkout Design 2012“. It was a shock to find out that out of these top 100 grossing websites studied, that on average they violated 21 checkout suitability guidelines.
I’m a visual learner (most designers are), so if you’re like me in that you’d rather take in information through images than through words, here is the article summarised as an infographic. Enjoy!
