E-Web Marketing had the pleasure of attending Google’s Geek Night last week and learnt some new up and coming ‘mash-up’ projects that Google will be testing and very soon implementing.
In the past, Google search results were mainly dominated with text based ads until recent local business ads have started to display map advertising mash ups.
The new exciting news is that Google are now trialing video ads on the iGoogle pages, along with generic search results. This is the universal search concept that Google have slowly tried to obtain, and will be available very shortly.
The search mash-ups allow for valuable advertising space to become denser, but is it over crowding the search results? A simple search at certain times of the day for ‘Catering’ or ‘2nd Hand Furniture’ will yield over 15 Local Business Ad’s.
