Google has made a recent statement that they are well positioned to weather any economic downfall as the advertising system they run is very broad based in terms of people who pay to use it.
Eric Schmidt has formally acknowledged that the sliding share market and shortage of credit is a ‘very serios issue’ but is not expecting it to greatly affect the Google AdWords platform.
“It’s too early to say if there’s (already) been any specific impact but if there were I don’t think it would be much,” Schmidt told reporters at a briefing during a visit to Sydney.
