According to forecasts by research firm eMarketer, projected web advertising spend in the US for 2007 is going to exceed 21 billion dollars. This forecast comes despite the current credit crisis in the US. The report claims that whilst there will be an impact on growth over the next couple of years, budgets for online campaigns will likely hold up better than for traditional campaigns. Looking forward, online advertising spend in the US is set to hit the $42 billion mark by 2011.
