Changes to the Overview Page
The side panel has been upgraded to provide further statistical insights regarding the percentage of increases/decreases of followers, as well as incorporated page statistics based on weekly figures rather than the previous month to month figures.
Another new feature accessible from the Overview page is the ‘Follow Company’ button, which resembles many of the existing social buttons used for Twitter, Facebook and Google+. There are three size and format to choose from, meaning you can match button with other social buttons you may already have on your site. This button will enable any user to follow your company straight from your website or online promotional material.
Both the Followers Statistics and Page Statistics extend to their own pages when ‘See more’ is clicked.
As LinkedIn also serves as a lead generating social platform, it makes sense for the social network site to incorporate more detailed information than just the amount of company followers. The Follower Statistics page graphs month by month the level of engagement your followers have with your company updates by clicks, likes and shares. Of the three, the latter is the most important, as it sends your links to an extended network and opens up further engagement with your brand.
The page also allows you to view follower demographics based on seniority in a company, industry, function, region and more. Admins are also able to directly view the most recent followers on the page (Image, First Name, Last Name Initial, Job Title, Company Name and Industry is shown). A full list of your company’s followers is accessible by viewing ‘See more’ underneath the top three most recent followers.
Little has changed with Page Statistics. While it has been updated with data for the last 7 days which appears at the top of the content area, the previous month by month data is still available for viewing.
