Microsoft buys Skype for $8.5 Billion
All over the tech world last night news spread that Microsoft has purchased Skype for approximately 8.5 billion US Dollars.
The purchase came over and above other suspicions that Skype was also in talks with Facebook and Google.
Microsoft Inc. announced that it will be paying approximately $8.5 billion to amalgamate Skype Technologies SA into their business model. The move was justified as to prevent other companies from adding calling features to games email and software, as well as to help them ‘catch-up’ on mobile and online advertising.
